@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Lovers wake up together every morning, so attunned are they to each others internal clocks.

They do the same thing, but only because that's what teammates do.

Lovers drag each other to places they don't want to go, but eventually enjoy, because the other will love it.

They don't go anywhere together, because that's something that lovers do.

Lovers sit beside each other on the couch.

They don't, because that's what lovers do. They sit on opposite sides of the room. Out of the reach, rife with temptation.

Lovers race each other to the bedroom to see who'll have to go back and check that doors and windows are locked then, turn off the light before getting into bed.

They don't that or even live to gether, because that's something that lovers do.

Lovers kiss before one goes on a trip (mission) without them. And thoroughly make love to one another the night before they leave and the night they come home.

But they don't do that. They stand in the control room and watch the other go. The night before, they don't even see each other. And the night afterwards they know they shouldn't.

Because these are the things that lovers do. They aren't lovers.

They can't be. But the temptation is there.Always there, just beneath the surface.

Lovers lay in bed on rainy evenings and share their dreams.

They don't do this, because that's what lovers do. And that's something they can never be.

Lovers lay in bed at night and share tender, heated kisses and temperature-raising caresses.

But they don't do that. They barely touch at all, much less kiss.

Lovers do these things, but they don't. Because lovers isn't what they are.

Lovers grasp and stroke each other's skin in the night as they make slow passionate love between the sheets on the bed they share.

But they don't. They never even share a tent, much less. Because it will always tempt them to be what they aren't and do what they can't...

What lovers do.

Lovers arch and cry out each other's name as they reach the peak of their passion, before falling back to Earth and falling asleep together; safe in the presence of their loves.

But Sam and Jack don't do that in real life. Only in their dreams.

Because those are the things that lovers do. And they aren't lovers.

But they are in love.
