Once an ex-husband, always one. She should never have allowed him back into
her life. Not that he was ever really gone. They’d spent too long together to go back to being strangers, but she was
satisfied with what they‘d had. They had a trust, a bond, a deeper than platonic friendship.
She trusted him
and he’d deceived her without skipping a beat. And she was stupid enough to believe him. Her gut had warned her that
it was all wrong and she’d called herself paranoid.
Now, she was awake at midnight watching the game he’d
recorded over their wedding.
